EXPERIENCE IN THE HORSE ACADEMIC FIELD:
- University Adjunct Professor of Equine Production at two public universities in Colombia (Universidad Nacional de Colombia and Universidad de Antioquia).
- College Adjunct Professor of Horse Handling and Safety (at College of Central Florida - Ocala, FL).
- Bachelor’s in Animal Science (Universidad Nacional de Colombia, 1989). Graduated with honors. The graduation thesis studied The Physics of Bits.
- Certification in Farm Management (Universidad EAFIT, 1994).
- Author of two college-level books about horses (ISBN 958-33-2905-3; ISBN 978-1-4276-0609-9).
- Author of dozens of articles published in various international equestrian journals (English / Spanish).
EXPERIENCE IN THE HORSE PRACTICAL FIELD:
- Manager/consultant of 100-plus horse farms throughout Colombia (South America) and Florida (USA), including evaluation of land and facilities, horse nutrition, husbandry, on-site grass production, and farm team creation and training.
- International clinician about various equine topics.
- Horse show judge.
- Director of a horse-riding school in Ocala, Florida (11 years).
- Founder and Director of three horse-riding schools in Medellín, Colombia
- A coach of two national equitation teams (United States and Colombia) competing in world championships.
- Horse tack designer and producer.
- Have personally directed over 15,000 hours of riding lessons to more than 1,000 students from different countries, ages 3 to 73.
- Have ridden horses for over 20,000 hours (training, showing, and recreation).
- Horse owner and breeder since the age of 12.
